Paramount+ announces partnership with Ikon pass, bringing pass holders 3-month access

Popular streaming service teams up with Alterra to benefit ski pass-holders

DENVER – Alterra Mountain Company, the ski conglomerate that owns 17 resorts throughout the U.S. and Canada, including Deer Valley, and the creators of the Ikon ski and snowboard pass, has just revealed a collaboration with Paramount+.

It offers Ikon pass holders for the 2023-2024 season three-month access to the Paramount+ streaming service.

Ikon pass holders will be granted the Paramount+ essential streaming subscription plan within the U.S., while those located outside the U.S. will receive access to the Paramount+ standard plan. Pass holders will have access to all of the popular content and live sports available on Paramount+.

The Ikon pass is valid at several ski resorts in Utah, including Snowbasin, Brighton, Solitude Mountain Resort, Snowbird, Alta Ski Area and Deer Valley.

“Our collaboration with Alterra Mountain Company has been a success by all measures and we are incredibly excited to build on this momentum to bring Paramount+ … to even more locations and fans,” said Domenic DiMeglio, Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer, Paramount Streaming. “This unique and own-able campaign is a great example of how we are leveraging strategic partnerships to grow brand love for Paramount+ and strengthen fandoms with our beloved franchises.”

In addition to providing pass holders access to Paramount+, Alterra Mountain Company will host the upcoming tour of The Lodge: A Paramount Experience in 2024 in four of its resorts in 2024. The immersive adventure will be showcased at Steamboat, in Colorado, Palisades Tahoe, in California, Winter Park, in Colorado, and Stratton, in Vermont.

“Ikon Pass holders are a unique community, searching for new adventure and experiences,” said Ryan Blanchard, vice president, Brand Partnerships, Alterra Mountain Company. “Paramount+ shares our passion for the mountains, adventure and entertainment and represents the premium service we aim to bring to our Ikon Pass holders and destination guests.”
