PARK CITY, Utah — The Park City Police Department and Utah Highway Patrol are inspecting large semi trucks and large pickup trucks with gooseneck trailers.

According to a statement from the PCPD, the two entities have inspected a total of 21 vehicles so far, and found 143 safety violations. 11 vehicles and one driver were placed out of service.

“We do this regularly with our partners at UHP,” said a statement from the PCPD. “A recent accident involving a truck and trailer on Marsac Ave is evidence of the importance of these inspections.”

A passenger truck towing a trailer rolled over at the intersection of Hillside and Marsac Avenues on the afternoon of Oct. 20. Two individuals were injured in the accident, but were transported to the hospital in stable condition.
