When to expect fall leaves in Park City

PARK CITY, Utah — As summer draws to a close, subtle signs of the changing season are beginning to pop up throughout Park City.

The 2023 Autumnal Equinox is slated for Saturday, September 23, but the best time to see colorful fall leaves won’t be until the following month.

According to the Farmers’ Almanac, which released its annual fall leaves peak color forecast last month, peak fall foliage will be on display in Utah between October 5-21.

The Farmers’ Almanac listed the Logan Canyon Scenic Byway as one of the best places to see fall colors in the Southwest U.S., which includes Utah, California, Nevada and Arizona. This scenic byway stretches along U.S. 89 from the mouth of Logan Canyon to Garden City near Bear Lake.
