Unidentified individual found deceased on Park City trail

PARK CITY, Utah — A man was found dead this morning on a single track trail near Cove Trailhead.

According to a statement from the Park City Police Department (PCPD), officers responded to a report of a man “face down” in the area at approximately 9:09 a.m.

Life saving measures were taken, but they were ultimately unsuccessful. Police are investigating the death as a potential suicide.

“The identity of the decedent has been determined but will not be released until the family can be notified,” said a statement from the PCPD. “It appears the male was not a Park City resident and resides outside of Utah.”
