Mountain Towns 2030 presents the Climate Solutions Summit 2023
PARK CITY, Utah — Mountain Towns 2030 was launched in Park City in 2019 to empower all mountain towns and outdoor communities to learn from each other and to share what Park City had learned since 2016 when it committed to its net-zero carbon emissions goal by 2030.
This year’s Climate Solutions Summit will take place October 18-19 in Vail, Colorado.
Over 50 towns and counties have already registered along with many businesses, non-profit organizations and ski resorts. If your non-profit organization or business wants to help accelerate climate action planning, you can still register for the summit.
This year’s summit offers attendees presentations, workshops and networking opportunities on topics such as:
- MIT’s En-Roads Climate Simulator: How to Solve the Climate Crisis in 60 Minutes
- Strengthening Community Resilience with Microgrids
- Rebuilding for a World on Fire – Decarbonization Roadmapping & Lessons Learned from Louisville
- Federal and State Policy Overview.
Every attendee will come away from this summit with a network of people to collaborate with after the summit and access to tools to accelerate climate action planning in their own communities.
Growth of MT2030 Climate Solutions Summit
Over the past four years the MT2030 Climate Solutions Summit has grown to include many western towns and counties and this year even boasts international participation.
MT2030 said “Through high-impact collaboration and actionable tools, we are helping communities achieve ambitious climate goals quicker. We’re building capacity and accelerating progress that otherwise would not have existed.” Park City’s representatives will include staff from both of our ski resorts, the town of Park City and the Park City Community Foundation.
