Film screening: ‘Abstract: A Freeski Exhibition,’ featuring Utah’s stunning backcountry, Oct. 6

UTAH — Faction Skis presents its fourth feature film, “Abstract: A Freeski Exhibition,” on Friday, Oct. 6 at The Depot (13 North 400 West, Salt Lake City), 6:30 p.m.

“Abstract” is approximately 40 minutes. It will be accompanied by short films, including “Svalbard,” which showcases three Faction female athletes as they embark on an Arctic Circle sailing and skiing adventure, and “Daydream,” which highlights breathtaking big-mountain skiing and animation.

One segment of “Abstract: A Freeski Exhibition” was filmed in the Utah backcountry, so expect some breathtaking local footage. The film showcases a variety of skiing styles, including big-mountain and powder skiing, jaw-dropping tricks in terrain parks, and urban skiing in the vibrant streets of Japan. Prepare to be amazed by the talent and creativity of these world-class athletes.

The film screening and kick-off party is a great way to celebrate the winter season. There will be raffles, games, giveaways, and a DJ, as well as the chance to meet professional athletes starring in the film, get autographs, and connect with fellow fans.
