Trailer lost, one hospitalized in Wasatch County fire

WASATCH COUNTY, Utah — A fifth wheel trailer at a mobile home park off of Highway 40 in Wasatch County was declared a total loss following a fire yesterday.

According to a statement from Wasatch Fire, crews responded to the blaze at approximately 9 p.m. Upon arrival, the trailer was already mostly engulfed in flames, and the trailer’s occupant had self-evacuated.

Crews were able to stop the fire before it spread to other trailers in the park, however, the fifth wheel trailer could not be salvaged.

“The owner was taken to the hospital for burns and smoke inhalation,” said a statement from Wasatch Fire. “The cause of the fire is under investigation.”
