Park City’s Revolution Ski and Blade compete as sole U.S. Americans in South American Cup

ARGENTINA — Founder and coach of Park City’s Revolution Ski and Blade Jason Stinsmen, with athletes Sean Jensen and Jack Rodeheaver, recently traveled to San Carlos de Bariloche, Argentina, to compete in the South American Cup at Cerro Catedral.

This is the first competition of the 2023/2024 season for the FIS level athletes.

The trip did not start off ideally, as all both the athletes and their coach lost their ski bags in transit to Argentina. In time they got them back, and the competition went off without a hitch.

The first Slopestyle Competition took place on August 4, the second Slopestyle took place on August 5 and the Big Air Competition took place on August 6.

Stinsmen told TownLift, “It was an honor to represent the U.S. in Cerro Catedral, as the only U.S. competitors. Sean and Jack skied really well, this was a great way to start off the competition season.”

Results:
Sean Jensen
1st in Slopestyle (first competition)
1st in Slopestyle (second competition)
2nd in Big Air

Jack Rodeheaver
3rd in Slopestyle (first competition)
3rd  in Slopestyle (second competition)
3rd in Big Air

“It was a great time! Everyone in Argentina was so nice. All the competitors were rooting for each other’s runs and helping motivate them as they dropped in.” Jensen told TownLift. “We started skiing during the sunrise which was a beautiful view, especially to start your day.”
