It’s that time of year again- Bike Prom with Utah’s Bicycle Collectives

SALT LAKE CITY — Throughout the year, the Ogden, Provo, St. George and Salt Lake City Bicycle Collectives do their own thing. However, one day a year they all work together for the annual Bike Prom.

On Saturday, September 16, from 6-11 p.m., participants will ride en mass from Salt Lake City’s Liberty Park to The Front Rock Climbing Gym at 1470 South, 400 West in Salt Lake City.

Registration for Bike Prom is available here.

Park City’s Donna McAleer, the executive director of the Bicycle Collective, told TownLift, “Each year, we welcome lots of Park City residents who come to Salt Lake and join in the family fun of Bike Prom. We are grateful that Parkites continue to donate used bikes to our nonprofit, as well as donate funds to the building of our new headquarters hub where they fix up bikes in our community repair shop towards ownership of a bicycle.”

Don your fanciest prom duds or costume, grab a date (or group, or come solo) and join a thousand friendly riders on a slow 3.1 mile ride around SLC streets.

Food, beverages and alcohol will be available for purchase from various food truck vendors and local breweries. Merchandise will be available for sale, and there will be a silent auction.
