A passenger van rear-ended a semi-truck.

Extrication was needed for two patients. UFA Medic Engine 112, Tiller Truck, and PCFD firefighters worked on extrication. Multiple patients were transported to the hospital by PCFD and SSLF. One patient was in critical condition.

South Salt Lake Fire, PCFD, and UFA collectively transported four patients to valley hospitals. One patient was in critical condition.
“These are always interesting calls as we were largely supporting the mutual aid request, and UFA remained in command. We did help with the extrication, care, and transport of patients involved in the incident,” said Battalion Chief Darren Nelson.
