Sip and vote, summer cocktail/mocktail contest goes live July 1
PARK CITY, Utah — Grab a drink and cast your votes in the annual Park City Area Restaurant Association (PCARA) summer cocktail contest. Online voting opens Saturday, July 1, through Monday, July 31, for imbibers to try brand new locally-sourced craft cocktails from Park City’s talented community of bartenders and mixologists.
“This year’s cocktail contest challenges participants to submit recipes featuring at least two ingredients sourced from local Wasatch back purveyors,” said PCARA Executive Director Ginger Wicks. “We mean it when we say ‘drink locally’ and encourage locals and visitors to safely try as many contest cocktails as possible throughout the month of July to support our community of restaurants and small businesses.”
The bartender or mixologist with the winning cocktail will each earn a $500 cash prize, city-wide recognition, and will be featured in a marketing campaign leading into PCARA’s popular fall “Dine About” event following the contest.
Twenty-two bars and restaurants are competing in this year’s contest. One vote may be cast per email address per day online at parkcityrestaurants.com. You must be 21 years of age to participate in the cocktail contest.
