Hyatt Centric unveils new green machine

PARK CITY, Utah — The 2021 Green Business of the Year, Hyatt Centric Park City, is continuing its efforts with its new Ford electric shuttle and transportation van. The hotel’s sustainability efforts are part of parent company Hyatt’s World of Care initiatives which focus on bettering climate change, water conservation, waste, and other issues.

“We are pleased to add a brand new electric van to the Hyatt Centric fleet to transport our guests while minimizing our carbon footprint,” said Hyatt Centric Park City Director of Sales, Marketing, Owner Services Barbara Dennis. “We do not take our mountains, wildlife, and local ecosystem for granted, and it is imperative we do all that we can to conserve and preserve them for generations to come.”

On the local level, Hyatt Centric’s initiatives play into Park City’s Sustainable Tourism Plan that aims to balance community, tourism, economy, and environmental needs. The Sustainable Tourism Plan has ambitious long-term climate goals for Park City and Summit County.
