Alpine Distilling, sole U.S. whiskey representative, presents at Worldwide Distilled Spirits Conference Scotland

EDINBURGH, Scotland — Amongst worldwide industry professionals Alpine Distilling shared its expertise and experience at the eighth annual Worldwide Distilled Spirits Conference in Edinburgh, Scotland. Col. Robert Sergent presented “Evolving Whiskey Tastings to Improve Comprehension and Help Distillers Communicate Complex Flavors.”

“Driving conversations that improve both the whiskey drinking experience and a distiller’s ability to share production rationale was a great opportunity to demonstrate our commitment towards contributing to industry improvement. As the only US whiskey distillery presenting, there valuable conversations with colleagues from the UK, Germany, Scandinavia, and Japan that we can take and share with our customers in Park City,” said Col. Sergent.

Alpine Distilling’s highly-decorated whiskey portfolio’s flavor profiles, aroma, and proof are rooted in Sergent’s Kentucky family history. Grains are sourced from the finest U.S. farms and it sources Kentucky yeast to ensure that only the highest quality spirit is created.

Sergent distills on an American Pot Still and then aged in toasted American Oak barrels. The two primary mashbills are a “Wheated Bourbon” of corn/wheat/barley blend and a “Single Malt” from 100% malted barley. Alpine Distilling works closely with two cooperages for our Appalachian Oak and Arkansas Oak barrels, with select toasting and char levels.

Alpine has recently expanded distribution and can now be purchased in Colorado, where it will be presenting at this summer’s Aspen Food & Wine Festival, Florida, California, Illinois, Nevada, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, and Utah.

Park City and Utah residents can taste these impressive whiskeys at the Alpine Distilling Lounge at 364 Main Street, Wednesday through Saturday from 4-10 p.m. and Sundays 12-5 p.m. for cocktails, pie, and bottle sales.

Located in Park City, Utah, Alpine Distilling is the husband/wife team of Sara Sergent, who manages all botanical production and portfolio, and Col. Rob Sergent, who oversees the whiskey portfolio. Alpine goes to market with highly decorated Gin, Herbal Liqueurs, and Whiskey offerings that have received accolades such as “Best in Show,” “Gin of the Year,” Top Craft Gin (4x winner, USA Today), Consumer Choice Award, and numerous Platinum, Double Gold, Gold medals in London, Las Vegas, New York, California, and Hong Kong. They have been featured in Forbes, Cosmo, GQ, JETSET, in addition to Bravo TV and NBC.
