ALTA, Utah — Alta Ski Area ended its ski season with a historic total snowfall of 903″ at Sunday’s closing day.
Normally, the resort boasts approximately 500″ per season.
The base snow depth was 197″ from the nine inches that fell in the final 24 hours.
This was their 85th season and it remains one of only a couple of ski-only resorts in the United States.
Alta, which often stays open later in wetter seasons, had set a hard-closing date before the beginning of this year.
