Tap into the Madness at Park City Brewery
PARK CITY, Utah — Spring is just around the corner, and with it comes celebrations galore. This March, Park City Brewery is hosting plenty of festivities to ring in the warmer weather or at least the thought of it to come.
After recently celebrating its one-year anniversary, PC Brewery decided to keep the party going with March Madness, après ski on the patio (warm weather permitting), and two special beer releases from the lab: Kickturn Double IPA and Chocolate Snownut Pastry Stout. Looking for a place to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day? Park City Brewery will also be serving up Green Beer and Irish Oatmeal Stout.
“We had a canning line installed in January which allows us to brew beers higher than five percent, so we will be having rotating high-point beers. The one I am doing consistently is the Kickturn Double IPA,” Head Brewer Troy Higgins said. “It is a very small, limited run, I get 250-300 cans per run. At the moment, it is only available in the taproom bar but our plan is to find a way to scale this recipe so we can have it for ‘to-go’ sales.”
Try your luck by submitting a bracket form to the pool on March 12-13. The top three winners will receive gift cards from Park City Brewery, Switchback Sports, and Skullcandy products.
Après ski on the patio Thursday-Sunday afternoons from 3-6 p.m., with beer and food specials.
March is also the month of MANGO. Higgins has been crafting up some special seltzers with fruity, fiery concoctions. So far, he has served up a sweet mango, peach mango, and habanero mango.
“The seltzers I have been on the small system have been a huge hit,” Higgins said. “We are going to have fun with it and see how fast they move and how many iterations we can throw out there, it is going to be a month of seltzers for MANGO MADNESS.”
Tune in this spring to the food menu as well. To celebrate the one-year anniversary two steak sandwiches were added to the menu made from Sneakertree IPA, philly cheesesteak and BBQ.
Six house crafted cocktails featuring local Utah spirits have also been added to the menu. Try a Bloody Mary at brunch, served Friday through Sunday.
