Art Works 4 The Cure 3-day art show benefits Primary Children’s Hospital
PARK CITY, Utah — Art Works 4 The Cure, a charity art show and sale presented by Zions Bank will be held at Utah Film Studios, Friday, March 10 through Sunday, March 12. Admission is free. Paintings, drawings, sculptures, and photographs from local and national artists and celebrities will be displayed and sold over the three days to benefit Intermountain Primary Children’s Hospital. Show times are Friday from 5-9 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m.-6 p.m., and Sunday from 11 a.m.-5 p.m.
“This show is anything but traditional,” said Elsa Gary, Art Works 4 The Cure executive producer. “You’ll see super landscapes and cityscapes, but you’ll also see graffiti from the Berlin Wall, amazing digital art, celebrity art, official music industry sales plaques, and a guitar made of crayons. We have a myriad of artists from all over the country and, of course, from Park City, including Dave Winegar, who was named the 2002 Intermountain Professional Photographers Association’s Photographer of the year.”
All attendees will receive an ART BUCKS certificate, good for a $25 discount on any piece of art over $100 purchased at the show. The Children Helping Children section features the art of more than 30 Park City Elementary School students.
At 4:30 on Saturday, March 11, Randin Graves, one of the Nation’s foremost didgeridoo players, will give a performance. In addition to his time and talents, Graves has donated lessons. Two painted didgeridoos and two traveling didgeridoos will also be in the Silent Auction.
The Utah Film Studios is located at 4001 Kearns Blvd. in Park City near the intersection of Kearns and US 40, convenient to Salt Lake City and the Wasatch Back with plenty of free parking. ART WORKS 4 THE CURE is teaming up with the Arts Council Park City & Summit County for its Winter Showcase. Attendees can enjoy two individual shows at the same location, dates, and times.
