Republic Services delayed in Summit County

SUMMIT COUNTY, Utah — Republic Services of Summit County has announced that waste collection will be delayed by at least one day this week due to the Christmas and New Year holidays.

“In observance of the Christmas holiday on December 26th and the New Year holiday on January 2, our service routes are delayed by one day,” said Republic Services in a statement. “These planned delays, combined with icy road conditions and necessary safety precautions, have resulted in our operations have been delayed further. Right now, we are working diligently to service your waste and recycling community but cannot anticipate your service time.”

The company has asked that those who have not yet been serviced this week bring their waste containers back in from off the street and bring them back out next week on the day after their regular service day.

“Due to high call volume, we at Republic Services are also delayed in responding to your voicemails and emails,” said a statement from Republic Services. “Again, thank you for your continued patience.”
