Ski Utah raises money for Discover Winter, offers over $23,000 in sweepstakes prizes

SALT LAKE CITY — One lucky winner will be chosen to win Ski Utah’s Super Snowy Stoked Sweepstakes, with prizes valued at over $23,000.

Participants must make a donation to enter, and all proceeds from ticket sales will benefit Discover Winter. Founded in 2022 by Ski Utah and Utah ski resorts, Discover Winter aims to introduce ethnically diverse and LGBTQ+ individuals to skiing and riding by providing lessons and transportation to the slopes.

“Discover Winter breaks down barriers to entry by providing gear, transportation, lessons, and lift tickets. During its first season, Discover Winter was able to introduce 150 new skiers and riders to the slopes,” a press release from Ski Utah stated.

Prize Details:

• Two fully transferable Ski Utah Gold Passes (valid for the 2022–23 season)
• Two days of heliskiing with Powderbird
• $2,500 Rossignol gift card to purchase two gear setups of winner’s choice
• Two Stio outerwear kits of winner’s choice from the Environ Collection (two jackets, two pants)
• Two Smith set-ups including two helmets, two goggles, and two pairs of sunglasses.
• $500 gift card to the Wasatch/Squatters Brewery Beer Store on 300 W in Salt Lake City, UT
• Rainier stove, Sherpa table, and Redwood portable firepit from Camp Chef
