Park City Television moves to limited operations

PARK CITY, Utah — Park City Television announced on Saturday, November 26, that it has moved to limited operations as of November 23.

PCTV was founded in 1987 and is most well known for its locally-themed shows and sports coverage, such as “The Scoreboard” and “Scoreboard Nation,” which highlighted the accomplishments of local high school students in the Wasatch Back. PCTV joined Deerfield Media in 2017.

PCTV production operations are being relocated to the company’s sister station in Vail/Beaver Creek, Colorado, along with Deerfield Media’s corporate offices.

“The dynamics of the Park City and Wasatch Back area, in the post-Pandemic period, are such that a local, community-oriented television station cannot be sustained,” said a statement from PCTV. “We thank the many people, businesses, and organizations that contributed to making Park City Television a part of what Park City and the Wasatch Back is all about.”

Past PCTV show episodes can be viewed at parkcity.tv.

“Thank you, Wasatch Back, for our happy memories,” said a statement from PCTV.
