WASATCH COUNTY, Utah — According to a Facebook post, Wasatch Fire District responded to a small lightning strike fire above Wallsburg on September 30.
Due to the quick response, Wasatch Fire was able to arrive at the scene and extinguish the fire quickly. The entire fire was less than an acre of the area and only included a single tree and surrounding underbrush. Similar lightning fires, when not swiftly contained, can cause large-scale forest fires if the conditions are correct.
Wasatch Fire continued to watch the area for any flare-ups and reported that the fire was entirely contained.
