Trails impacted by Park City Point 2 Point Race
PARK CITY, Utah — With the Park City Point 2 Point Race this Saturday, several trails will be impacted during the 77-mile endurance race. The potential impact is in four segments as riders work their way through Round Valley, Deer Valley Resort, Park City Mountain (PCMR), and finishing near Olympic Park in Kimble Junction.
From the start of the race at 7 a.m., riders will travel through trails in Round Valley in the following order: Gillmore Way, Silver Quinns, Round Valley Express, RV Connector, Ramble On, Rusty Shovel Rambler, Big Easy, Somewhere Elks, Nowhere Elks, Valderroad, Big Easy, Quinn’s Connect, Rambler, Hat Trick, Quinn’s Junction Connector and Rail Trail. Riders will then transition to Skid Row and Lost Prospector Trail to arrive at Lower Deer Valley at Deer Crest no later than 10 a.m.
From there, competitors will ride through trails at Deer Valley Resort in the following order: Full Steam Billy, Gambel Oak Park, Solamere Connector, Snowtop, Village Trail, Pipeline, Deer Crest, Mid Mountain Ext, Team Big Bear, Ontario Loop, Boulder, Moosebones, Corvair, Mid Mountain, and Little Chief.
Racers should leave the Deer Valley area by 11:30 a.m. as they transition from Deer Valley Resort to Park City Mountain Resort using the Johns 99 trail.
The racers will then move through trails at PCMR in the following order: Mother Urban, Mid Mountain, Mid Mountain Connect, Johns, Jenni’s (Upper), Mid Mountain Connect, Steps ACC, Steps, Three Candles, Keystone, Fat Lip Stiff Upper Lip, 9K Trail, Shadow Lake Loop, Keystone, Apex, Thaynes Road, CMG, Mid Mountain, CMG, Payday, First Time Return, First Time.
3:30 p.m. is the cutoff for riders to leave PCMR, with most riders passing through around 1:45 p.m.
The race’s final segment will see riders work their way towards Olympic Park, with the finish line at the Scull Candy headquarters. Through this segment of the race, the following trails will be affected: PCMR Road, Silver Spur, Spiro, Armstrong, Mid Mountain, Iron Man, Mid Mountain, Ambush, Olympic, Moose Puddle, Moose Puddle Access, Legacy Loop Connector, Legacy Loop, UOP, Iron Bill, RTS Lower, RTS, BYOB, RTS, and Millenium Trail.
The majority of racers will finish the race between 3 and 5 p.m.
