Park City Sailing hosts Fall Regatta
PARK CITY, Utah – This past weekend, the Park City Sailing Club hosted their annual Fall Regatta, holding races on the nearby Jordanelle Reservoir on Saturday and Sunday. It was Park City Sailing’s biggest event ever as over 100 sailors competed, 42 of them junior sailors.
Sail Park City was formed by Geoff Hurtwitch, who started sailing on the Jordanelle Reservoir in the Spring of 2008. Hurtwitch discovered ideal sailing conditions at the reservoir, a six-square mile body of water at 6200 feet in elevation. The summer heat in the valley creates a reliable thermal breeze, and the combination has become the ideal setting for Park City Sailing, which now hosts both competitions and lessons all summer long.
The winners of all events from last weekend’s Regatta are below. Congratulations to all 100 sailors who participated!
