Heber City Planning Commission big ticket items for September 27

HEBER CITY, Utah — Heber City will hold its planning commission meeting on September 27 at 4 p.m., both in person and virtually. Here are some of the big ticket items on the meeting agenda.

First, the planning commission will host a public hearing to consider amendments to the city sign ordinance. The staff report on the issue highlights two primary questions: whether the city should allow for multiple channel letter signs and exposed structural supports on signs if they are decorative.

Second, the planning commission will consider the potential revision of height recommendations within the city. Specifically, the hearing will focus on exemptions for hotels, conference centers, and similar buildings in the town. The current height maximum, as outlined by the staff report, is three stories and 46 feet.

Third, the planning commission will hold another public hearing to consider a mixed-use commercial development at 191 W 100 S. The staff report goes into greater detail about the location’s history and past use.
