Cap off Sept. with final Park Silly, Car Free Sundays and some Cornhole
PARK CITY, Utah — Sunday, September 25, marks the final Car-Free and Silly Market Sunday of the summer season. Last year was the first car-free summer, originating from the goal to attract pedestrians in the hopes of supporting local businesses during the COVID pandemic.
Car-Free Sundays block vehicles from all of Main Street, giving businesses and restaurants the chance to stretch their legs by offering more seating, lounge areas, or outdoor displays. Park Silly Sunday Market has been a community staple since 2006.
A Cornhole Extravaganza will be held at the top of Main Street on Sunday from 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 (ish) p.m. At 11:00 a.m. Mountain Town Cornhole founder Patrick Saucier will divulge cornhole strategies and secrets. Then at noon, sign up and compete in the cornhole tournament, perhaps with some newfound wisdom.
A trophy ceremony will follow at around 4:00 p.m., complete with prizes from the Big Dipper, Tekila, 7-11, and Flanagan’s On Main.
