SCSD apprehend Heber Man after hotel search in PC

SUMMIT COUNTY, Utah — Summit County Sheriff Deputies were requested to assist in the search and arrest of a suspect on Saturday. The suspect, a 46-year-old male from Heber, was involved in a domestic violence aggravated assault with a firearm incident in Wasatch County. The suspect is also connected to a shooting in Orem.

Deputies found the suspect’s vehicle in the Holiday Inn Express parking lot in Kimball Junction. A subsequent search of the hotel was conducted, where the suspect was found in a locked room for the hotel.

The suspect was then transported to the Wasatch/Summit County line by deputies, where he was handed off to Wasatch County Sheriff Deputies.

While some deputies transported the suspect to Wasatch County, some deputies remained at the hotel to provide security until a search warrant could be conducted on the suspect’s room and vehicle.
