Park City’s Haley Batten mountain bikes into third in Canada comp
QUEBEC, Canada — Haley Batten hasn’t shifted to a lower gear since mountain biking in the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, quite the contrary. Park City’s Batten placed third this weekend among the women competing at the International Cycling Federation (UCI) tour stop at the ski area of Mont Saint Anne outside of Quebec.
UCI’s global headquarters are in Switzerland.

Upcoming on the race schedule is European travel as she’s been named to the event team to represent USA Cycling at the World Championships.
This region of the Canadian Rockies narrowly missed out when the United States Olympic and Paralympic Committee (USOPC) was awarded the bid to host the Salt Lake 2002 Winter Olympics. The final decision-making process included the starting gate for the Alpine Downhill Skiing race course. Canada promised the International Olympic Committee (IOC) that they would build a platform on the summit of their highest peak whereas Snowbasin, Utah could simply provide the natural mountain elevation required for homologation.
