Haley Batten named to Mountain Bike Worlds Team

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — USA Cycling announced the United States athletes for the 2022 UCI Mountain Bike World Championships in Les Gets, France, from August 22-28. The list includes Park City’s Haley Batten.

After impressive results this past weekend at the UCI Mountain Bike World Cup in Snowshoe, W.V., the team is in a great position heading to the World Championships.

Cross-Country veteran and Olympian Batten, sponsored by Specialized Factory Racing, “has been showing strong form recently and is looking to have a great end to her season, ” said USA Cycling in a statement.

Batten started cycling at age nine with her little brother. Biking gave Batten a sense of freedom and independence while also connecting her with family. Growing up in Park City, she was surrounded by a supportive cycling community and endless trails to explore, sparking her passion for the sport.

Along with the Cross-Country events, the Worlds competition will include Downhill and E-Mountain Biking.
