Heber City Police asking for help after driver injures crossing guard in hit and run

UPDATE (10:30 p.m. 8/23/2022): According to a post by Heber City Police, the driver and vehicle were found.

HEBER CITY, Utah — Heber City Police Department is asking for the public’s help after a Heber City crossing guard was hit by a vehicle at the Old Mill Elementary School crosswalk on Mill Road at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

The female driver, in what is described as a black SUV, fled the scene, and headed Northbound on Mill Road.

Police are asking that if anyone witnessed the incident or hears of information or leads to please reach out to the Heber City Police Department by calling (435) 654-3040 or Wasatch County Dispatch at (435) 654-1411.

The crossing guard has minor injuries and is expected to make a full recovery.
