Amazon Mystery Boxes for sale at the ReStore

PARK CITY, Utah — Amazon Mystery Boxes, the subject of many Youtube and TikTok unboxing videos, can now be purchased in Park City at the ReStore thanks to donations from Amazon.

Boxes purchased online can be themed, the most popular of which is a tech box with items from liquidations, returns, or unclaimed purchases. However, the boxes from ReStore are just that — a mystery.

Britney Comer, Board Member for Habitat for Humanity in Summit and Wasatch Counties, told TownLift, “Our Amazon Mystery Boxes are full of unknown adventure. You never know what kind of treasures you’ll find. Your purchases of these boxes and other items at the ReStore help individuals in our community achieve their dreams of homeownership with Habitat for Humanity.”

Adding to the element of mystery, by design, the Amazon Mystery Boxes are not necessarily always in stock for purchase. Whether you’re there to volunteer, drop off donations of furniture, lighting, plumbing, artwork, doors, or cabinets, or to browse and buy, if they’re out of Mystery Boxes, check back another day.

The ReStore raises funds for families to build and buy their own affordable homes in the same communities where they work.

The boxes usually are larger than a bread box but small enough to carry, and they run approximately $30 each.
