SUMMIT COUNTY, Utah — Get the cowboy and cowgirl hats and boots ready for the annual county fair on August 6 at the Summit County Fairgrounds in Coalville.
A multi-day event, the Summit County Fair will feature 4H exhibitions, a horse show, fine art exhibits, the little buckaroo rodeo, a demolition derby, a good old fashion rodeo, and more. The finale will feature a concert by country music star Easton Corbin, on Saturday September 3.
In many ways, the fair is a return to its ranching roots before the big resorts and five-star restaurants moved into the area. The fair is also a place for the community to come together beyond the events; including a beer, wine, and spirit garden and an early bird breakfast by the Park City Lions Club.

Remember that although entry into the fair is free, many events such as the rodeo and the demolition derby require you to purchase tickets.
Like many transplants to Utah, Kevin started his journey to Park City as a ski instructor in 2014 and fell in love with the mountains enough to stay. A skier since the age of 2 and a half, he still gets excited about carving turns down the slopes and hopping into the powder on snow days. Kevin's passion for storytelling and photography led him to a second bachelor's degree focused on communications and fine art photography from the University of Utah. Paired with his first undergrad in ecology from Oklahoma State University, Kevin particularly enjoys writing environmental and nature stories. In his spare time, you can usually find him in his jeep looking for wildlife and landscapes to photograph.
