PCHS grad Jesse Helton leveling up to UNC Wilmington

PARK CITY, Utah — Jesse Helton, Park City High School class of 2022, broke not one, not two, but three school track and field records before his graduation. Playing football growing up in Park City, he parlayed his skills to field events where he now holds the records for:

  1. Discus
  2. Indoor Shotput
  3. Outdoor Shotput, after the previous record had stood for 18 years

Helton will attend the University of North Carolina Wilmington and play on their track and field team.

“I chose North Carolina because I want to study marine biology, and I have family in NC,” he said.

“I would say that I’m 100% ready for a change, and I’m going to miss Park City for sure, but I am so excited to start the next chapter of my life.”

No longer a Miner, he’s representing the Seahawks now.
