Trailside and McPolin Elementary schools name new principals

PARK CITY, Utah — The Park City School District (PCSD) announced new administrative changes this week.

Tracy Fike, who most recently served as an assistant principal at Park City High School (PCHS), has been named principal of Trailside Elementary. Fike has been with the school district for over a decade. Prior to her role at the high school, she was an assistant principal at Ecker Hill Middle School and interim principal at Parley’s Park Elementary.

McPolin Elementary Principal Robert Beverly Edmiston Jr., better known as Mr. Ed, will replace Fike at PCHS. Angie Dufner, who most recently served as the interim principal of a Title 1 elementary school in Salt Lake City, has been named the new principal of McPolin.

Dufner just completed her 24th year in education. She started her career teaching in Chicago for 11 years, before moving to Park City, where she was a dual immersion teacher at Parley’s Park. After 8 years, she moved to McPolin where she spent 4 years as a Title 1 teacher, interventionist, and MTSS coordinator.

“Superintendent Gildea and the Board of Education are excited to welcome these three capable and experienced leaders in their new roles,” PCSD said in a press release. “We look forward to the many things they will accomplish and value their commitment to inspire and support all students equitably to achieve their academic and social potential.”
