Park City names new Deputy City Manager

PARK CITY, Utah — Park City Municipal announced Tuesday that Jen McGrath, currently a director in the University of Utah’s Real Estate Administration, will join as deputy city manager at the end of June.

“I am thrilled to join the dynamic leadership team at Park City,” McGrath said in a statement.

Her career highlights include real estate management at Salt Lake County, planning at the Utah Transit Authority, and director of Community and Neighborhoods at Salt Lake City Corporation.

“I want to be a part of the solution towards pressing and complex challenges, such as access to housing, preserving Park City’s historic fabric, and promoting the vibrancy and health of neighborhoods and business districts. I look forward to learning from, and listening to, our elected officials, residents, stakeholders, and new colleagues.”

She will oversee several departments in the city’s community development efforts, including planning, building, engineering, and housing.

“The Council and I are thrilled to welcome Jen to the Park City team,” Park City Mayor Nann Worel said in a statement. “I look forward to collaborating with her as we strive to make our City government the most customer-oriented, transparent, and accessible in the state.”

McGrath has bachelor’s degrees in Urban Planning and Political Science as well as master’s degrees in Public Administration and Real Estate Development, all from the University of Utah. She is also pursuing a master’s degree in Legal Studies at the S.J. Quinney College of Law.

“Jen brings a level of technical expertise in community and neighborhood development, especially in the field of day-to-day customer service and planning and negotiation. Jen is a welcome addition to the team and will immediately provide support to our front-line employees and our longer term, strategic initiatives,” City Manager Matt Dias said in a statement.
