Calls for service: Pants thief hits Levi’s Outlet store

SUMMIT COUNTY, Utah. — Calls for service to the Summit County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO) and Park City Fire District (PCFD) for the week of June 20 — June 26.

Monday (6/20):

No incidents were reported.

 

Tuesday (6/21):

No incidents were reported.

 

Wednesday (6/22):

SCSO: Deputies were dispatched to a theft report near Mountain Maple Dr. The complainant stated that he had a Cat-325 excavator dropped off at the address last week, and sometime during the previous week and Wednesday, a panel had been stolen off the back-left side of the equipment. While there was no suspect information, a neighbor has a camera pointing in the direction of where the equipment was sitting. He will check the surveillance and see if he can locate any footage.

SCSO: An unidentified male entered Levi’s and stole several pairs of pants. Employees were able to capture photos of the suspect vehicle and a license plate number was obtained. The registered owner’s address was found to be in Sandy, and an agency assist was conducted in an attempt to make contact with the registered owner of the vehicle. Sandy City PD was unable to make contact to find who was operating the vehicle at the time of the theft. A follow-up will be conducted.

SCSO: During a verbal argument between a boyfriend and girlfriend, a 21-year-old Coalville man slapped the victim across the face. Statements and evidence support a domestic assault and the 21-year-old man was arrested for DV assault.

 

Thursday (6/23):

SCSO: Deputies were dispatched to an address near South Shore for a report of theft. The complainant stated that her kayak, which was secured at the HOA Kayak station with a rope and lock, was missing and the rope had been cut. The kayak was last seen on June 13, 2022, by the HOA staff. Currently there are no suspect(s).

SCSO:  At an unknown time at the Park City Outlets, the rear driver side window of a vehicle was broken out with a large rock and a lunch box was taken. Due to a lack of cameras in the area, there is currently no suspect information. The owner of the vehicle advised there was nothing of value inside the vehicle.

 

Friday (6/24):

No incidents were reported.

 

Saturday (6/25):

PCFD: Structure fire in Canyons Village under investigation.

 

Sunday (6/26):

SCSO: A deputy responded to a property damage at the Hyatt Escala Lodge after a van backed into a light pole. The driver and property owners exchanged information without further incident.
