Summit County Sheriff investigates $150k fraudulent bank transfer

PARK CITY, Utah. — On Wednesday, Summit County Sheriff’s deputies responded to an incident of a $150,000 bank transfer that was potentially fraudulent.

According to the complainant, $150,000 was transferred from his credit union account to an unknown bank account back on March 3. Notably, a limited amount of information about the suspect was provided to investigations.

According to Summit County Sheriff’s Capt. Andrew Wright, both the credit union and Summit County detectives are currently investigating the transaction. The department will provide more information as the investigation is ongoing.
