Main Street’s Wasatch Loft & Tap Room Bar receives full-time bar license
PARK CITY, Utah — The Utah Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control (DABC) awarded Wasatch Loft & Tap Room Bar, located on the second floor of Wasatch Brew Pub on Main Street, with its only available full-time bar license at its meeting on Tuesday.
The business was previously operating under a winter seasonal license. It was the only license given out by the DABC Tuesday.
It was available after Triple Peak Sports Grill in Harrisville gave up its license, following a fire that destroyed the business.
The license for Wasatch will run through the end of May, and then they must refile and pay licensing fees.
10 full bar licenses are planned to be given out at a DABC special meeting later this year.
Utah has seen a $34 million increase in alcohol sales over the past year, according to the DABC’s finance director. That’s an 8% increase when compared to the year prior.
