Park City hosts FIS competition this weekend at the UOP
PARK CITY, Utah — Watch USA’s Beijing Olympic ski jumper and nordic combined athletes at this weekend’s International Ski Federation (FIS) Continental Cup (COC) at the Utah Olympic Park (UOP) and at the Soldier Hollow Nordic Center (SOHO.)
COCs are the international competition level directly below World Cups and this will be the first COC held for Women’s Ski Jumping in Park City since 2009.
2022 USA Nordic Olympians/hometown heroes Jared Shumate, Steven Schumann, Ben Loomis, Jasper Good, and Anna Hoffman will compete as well as four-time Olympian Taylor Fletcher is the final competition of his illustrious athletic career.
Fletcher wrote on social media last week,
“My final race will be at home in Park City and at Soldier Hollow next weekend! If you are around, I would love to see you out there!”
Tickets may be purchased here (children are free) for the March 12, 13 Women’s Ski Jumping/Men’s Nordic Combined event in which up to 25 countries and many of their 2022 Olympians expect to be represented.
Park City Ski and Snowboard (PCSS) athletes who are on the National or Junior National teams scheduled to compete include Sam Macuga, Macey Olden, Josie Johnson, and Paige Jones.
Local Youth Sports Alliance (YSA) athletes including “Root” Roepke get the opportunity to forerun the competition.
Five-time Olympian, gold and silver medal winner, and Park City’s nonprofit USA Nordic Executive Director Billy Demong will be in attendance.

Saturday, March 12
2:00-3:00 p.m.: 10km Mass Start Men’s Nordic Combined (SOHO)
7:00-9:00 p.m.: Men’s Nordic Combined Jumping Competition & Women’s Ski Jumping Competition (UOP)
Sunday, March 13
7:30-10:00 a.m.: Women’s Ski Jumping Competition & Nordic Combined Jumping Competition (UOP)
2:00-3:00 p.m.: Cross Country Race (SOHO)
