Hoytsville Road temporarily closed after discovery of old road flares

SUMMIT COUNTY, Utah — Hoytsville Road was temporarily closed south of Creamery Lane and Hoyt Lane due to the discovery of what appeared to be expired dynamite, the Park City Fire District (PCFD) said Wednesday afternoon.

The Summit County said at 2:43 pm MT that a bomb squad was en route and that any evacuations had been notified. However, after further investigation, PCFD realized that the “dynamite” was actually old road flares.

The scene has been cleared.
