Real Salt Lake unveils 2022 Primary “Believe Kit”

SALT LAKE CITY — With the start of the 2022 MLS season just days away, Real Salt Lake revealed their primary kit on Thursday morning.

Entitled the “Believe Kit”, the newly revealed jersey is a combination of classic and historic symbols with a modern twist.

As illustrated on their Twitter account, the jersey features three major symbols to represent the clubs past with nods to “Utah Pride”, the 2009 Championship team, and “El Leon”. The “Utah Pride” symbol can be found in the bottom right-corner of the jersey with the numbers “05” inside a small cut-out of the state of Utah, a reminder of when the club was established. A nod to the 2009 Championship team can be found in claret and yellow stripes on the trim and collar, while Leo the Lion is featured on the back of the neck.

Real Salt Lake is set to open their 2022 season on the road against Houston on February 27 before hosting their home opener against Seattle on March 5.
