Calls for service: Police and sheriff logs

Calls for service to the Park City Police Department (PCPD) and the Summit County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO) for the week of January 24 – 30.

MONDAY:

  • PCPD – Officers booked an alcohol-restricted driver into jail after he was found to be impaired during a traffic stop. He refused a chemical test, and a blood draw warrant was obtained.

TUESDAY:

  • PCPD – Officers warned and cited multiple vehicles illegally parked on Sidewinder Dr. for after-hours parking violations.

THURSDAY:

  • PCPD – A person was cited for littering on the Rail Trail. 

  • PCPD – Two pairs of skis were stolen from a garage on Daly Ave. The suspect was driving a brown Nissan Titan with a loud muffler.

  • PCPD – Several intoxicated individuals on Main St. were contacted, and found rides home before the incidents escalated.

FRIDAY:

  • SCSO – A woman called deputies to report that her employer told her that someone was trying to obtain her unemployment benefits fraudulently.

SATURDAY:

  • PCPD – On Main St., when two intoxicated brothers were asked to leave a bar, both assaulted the bouncer. One of the brothers fled on foot and was pursued by an officer passing by. He was apprehended, and both brothers were booked into jail on various charges.
  • PCPD – On Main St., two siblings, ages five and seven, were found wandering without an adult. The parents were located shortly after and reunited.

  • PCPD – Officers assisted a medical team with an intoxicated female who had passed out at a bar.

  • PCPD – Officers responded to a water main break at Park Ave. and Deer Valley Dr. with water coming up from a maintenance hole cover. Due to the temperatures, ice began to form on Park Ave. One lane of travel had to be closed until the water department could shut the water off.
