Calls for service to the Park City Police Department (PCPD) and the Summit County Sheriff Department (SCSD) for the week of December 20 – 26.
MONDAY:
PCPD – At the Gateway Parking Garage near Main St., a motorist described a filled lot and that there were not sufficient parking permits on other cars.

TUESDAY:
SCSD – At the Elk Meadows Apartments, several items were taken from an unlocked car.

WEDNESDAY:
PCPD – Staff at the Main St. Post Office called to report that a suitcase had been left in the lobby.
SCSD – At the Basin Rec. Fieldhouse, an unattended purse was taken by a man into the locker room, as seen on surveillance cameras. After several minutes later, the suspect exited the men’s locker room and left the area without the purse. Staff later located the bag and returned it to the woman, at which time over $500 in cash was missing.
SCSD – At the Hope Ave. store at the outlet mall, deputies responded to a theft call. Two sweaters, valued at $50 each, were stolen by a 5’9″ woman with dark, curly hair carrying a large backpack.
THURSDAY:
PCPD – An unattended car was parked illegally on Main St. in front of the O’Shucks bar.
FRIDAY:
PCPD – In the residential Old Town neighborhood, several cars parked on the side of the street blocked access for the snowplow drivers to remove snow.
PCPD – At the Upper Ironhorse Condos, two unattended cars blocked the fire gate.
SCSD – In the Summit Park neighborhood, a man from Oklahoma called deputies to report that a cabin he understood to have rented on Craigslist was not available to him upon arrival. He stated that he’d paid $1,450 on Venmo. The phone number the suspect was using has been disconnected, and renting tenants were already staying there. The cabin is owned and run by a property management company and not rented through Craigslist.
SATURDAY:
Search and Rescue (SAR)/SCSD – A snowmobiler whose car and equipment were parked at the Thousand Peaks Trailhead in the Uintah Mountains was reported missing. SAR searched all night. In the morning, the missing person was located by SAR and was then transported to a hospital in Evanston, WY, for hypothermia.
SCSD – In the Pinebrook neighborhood, A younger man was observed stealing a skateboard from an unlocked vehicle. He left the area in a dark color, Acura Infinity.
SUNDAY:
SCSD – At Woodward, a caller stated that the snowboard left in the outside rack was not there after he went inside and later came back out.
PCPD – On Park Avenue, officers pulled a car over that had snow covering the windshield. Officers cleared the snow for the driver and issued a verbal warning.
