PARK CITY, Utah — The National Ability Center along with Park City Municipal hosted a ceremony celebrating Veterans Day on Wednesday morning.
At the event, Mayor-elect Nann Worel talked about her time serving as a nurse at the Naval Regional Medical Center in Long Beach at the tail end of the Vietnam War:
“Our wounded warriors were returning home and they came home broken in every way imaginable. Broken physically, mentally, spiritually, and emotionally. I learned so much as I cared for them. I learned about leadership. I learned about serving with honor — Honoring the country that you serve, the community you serve, honoring the people you serve, and honoring commitments that you make,” Worel said.
