Park City Football kicks off season Friday night against Wasatch
PARK CITY, Utah — The Park City Miners Football team will start their season against the Wasatch Wasps on Friday night, August 13 at 7 pm at Park City High School.
Last year the Miners lost to Wasatch 49-35, however, they went on to finish the season with a record of 9-3.
The team is now playing in 5A Region 6, an upgrade from their previous 4A Region 10. Their schedule now features more teams from Salt Lake, like Highland and Olympus.
Junior Chase Beyer leads the Miner’s offense at quarterback. Last year he threw a total of 16 touchdowns with only three interceptions.
Max Preps currently ranks Park City as the number 13 overall team in the state. Wasatch is ranked number 15.
Gates will open at 6 pm, with kickoff set for 7 pm.
