CONNECT Summit County offers 21-day mental health challenge
SUMMIT COUNTY, Utah. — Studies show that repetition builds habits, and making practices part of one’s daily routine can lead to real change pretty quickly. Toward the goal of changing how people view mental health issues, CONNECT Summit County is launching a daily challenge to inspires weekly actions furthering understanding of the importance of mental health and erasing stigma.
The challenge will help kick off Mental Health Awareness Month in May with virtual and in-person events, social media campaigns, and other grassroots activities.
Once people register, they’ll receive a checklist with suggested activities for the month, including events to attend and podcasts to listen to. Skullcandy is sponsoring the challenge, and giving away bluetooth earbuds to seven random people who sign up.
