All Sundance Screenings Scheduled at The Ray Cancelled
PARK CITY, Utah. — The Sundance Film Festival has cancelled plans for in-person film screenings at local Park City theater The Ray, shifting to online-only. The decision came after the festival looked carefully at all the satellite theaters scheduled to hold in-person screenings nationwide, and determined it wasn’t advisable to hold in-person events there.
The Sundance Film Festival said in a statement, “The safety and well-being of our audiences, community, and staff is the most important thing to us. In consideration of the overall public health situation in Utah – a month out from the festival – we will be pivoting our planned indoor theater screenings at The Ray to our online platform.”
The festival will run from Thursday Jan. 28 through February 3. To access the films online, register through the online festival platform.
