Do a Good Deed: Recycle Christmas Trees
PARK CITY, Utah. — Park City Lacrosse is continuing its annual Christmas tree pick-up fundraiser this year with driveway service for the next two weekends, Jan. 2-3 and Jan 9-10. The tax-deductible donation for the haul is $35 per tree and $50 for trees above 10 feet tall. Pick-up and payment can be scheduled online. The team requests that trees are ready in front of residences by 9 a.m. the morning of the scheduled pick-up, and stripped of all decorations and lights.
“The objective is to provide a service to the community and offer participating boys and girls lacrosse athletes the opportunity to volunteer their time over the course of the next two weekends,” the event organizer, Rob Vandenberg, said. “The monies raised funds boys and girls programs at both youth and high school levels and is used to promote the sport of lacrosse within the town and make it affordable to all.”
Support a great cause and reduce waste by sending trees to a local recycling center through Park City Lacrosse instead of dumping them in a landfill.
