PCHS football squeaks past Provo High with a win of 22-21
PROVO, Utah — The Park City High School boys varsity Miners beat the Provo Bulldogs in an away game on Monday night with a score of 22 – 21.
Monday’s matchup comes after Friday’s game was suspended partway through and postponed due to inclement weather, including lightning.
The 4A conference matchup brings both teams to 2-4 overall records.
Miners were down 14-0 at halftime, but their defense stepped it up in the third quarter, forcing four consecutive turnovers. Soon thereafter, it was 15-14 to Park City.
Provo answered back with a late-game touchdown to reclaim the lead.
Then, the Miners’ offense delivered its most clutch execution of the night. Park City marched down the field with the game on the line, answering Provo’s score with a touchdown drive of their own to secure the thrilling 22-21 win.
Next up, the Miners will host Uintah High School at home in the newly reconstructed stadium at the Park City High School at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
