Park City to mark 25th anniversary of 9/11 with memorial ceremony

PARK CITY, Utah — The Park City Police Department will host a 9/11 memorial ceremony Friday morning to mark 25 years since the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.

The ceremony will be held from 7 to 7:30 a.m. outside the Park City Police Department, 2060 Park Ave. Community members are invited to join local first responders in remembering those who lost their lives and honoring the first responders who answered the call that day.

The ceremony will begin with a welcome and the national anthem, followed by the honor guard’s presentation of colors.

Agency leaders will then offer remarks before the Last Call and a moment of silence.

The ceremony will conclude with a bagpiper performing “Amazing Grace” as a final tribute to those who were lost and to the first responders who served on Sept. 11, 2001.
