Adult outdoor volleyball season wraps up

PARK CITY, Utah — Park City Recreation hosts an adult beach volleyball league each summer, offering players of all experience levels a chance to compete, meet new people and, for teams like Sandlot, contend for a championship.

In this year’s 4v4 Summer Nights Volleyball League, the Recreational Division champions were:

• Sandlot
  Dave Held
  Nonie Frishette
  Liz Coleman
  Sue Anderson
  Jeff Miller

In the ‘4v4 Summer Nights’ Volleyball League, the Competitive Division champions were:

• Bananas
  Olivia Reed
  Brandon Hubbard
  Cassidy Maher
  Tim Gribb

And the ‘Adult Doubles Volleyball League’ champions were:

• Marc Gas
  Elizabeth Coleman

“So many of our players have become familiar faces, and it’s been rewarding to watch friendships grow, teams return each season and even watch their kids grow up on the sidelines,” Lauren Wall, recreation program supervisor for Park City Recreation, told TownLift.

“It’s more than just volleyball. It’s a great way to keep our local community connected. We want to thank all of our players for their flexibility and patience this season as we continue construction at The Mine and work toward creating new and improved volleyball courts. We truly appreciate your understanding as we navigate these exciting facility improvements.”
