Police Log: Soccer balls shatter windshields, sheep in traffic, and late-night parties

Soccer tournament crowds brought a wave of vehicle damage reports to Park City this week, while police also responded to loose sheep on Kearns Boulevard, a suspected DUI driver, repeated late-night noise complaints, and a report of two men allegedly urinating outside a truck on Park Avenue.

Monday, July 27

Incident: Traffic hazard
A rolled-up rubber mat was reported in the roadway on Kearns Boulevard before it was moved to the shoulder.

Incident: Disturbing the peace
Residents on Daly Avenue reported construction workers playing loud music early in the morning, waking nearby neighbors.

Incident: Non-injury accident
A Park City Transit ADA van was involved in a crash on Park Avenue. One passenger was aboard; no injuries were reported.

Incident: Animal problem
Police responded after a small white dog was reported left inside a parked car without the vehicle running or windows cracked.

Tuesday, July 28

Three loose sheep were reported near Kearns Boulevard and Round Valley Drive.

A vehicle on Three Kings Drive was found with a dent and broken taillight. The owner believed it may have been struck by a golf ball.

A driver swerved to avoid an animal and struck a utility pole on Park Avenue. No injuries were reported.
